What is diabetes   Diabetes is a chronic disease that occurs when the pancreas is no longer able to make insulin, or when the body cannot make good use of the insulin it produces. Insulin is a hormone made by the pancreas, that acts like a key to let glucose from the food we eat pass from the blood stream into the cells in the body to produce energy. All carbohydrate foods are broken down into glucose in the blood. Insulin helps glucose get into the cells.  Not being able to produce insulin or use it effectively leads to raised glucose levels in the blood (known as hyperglycaemia). Over the long-term high glucose levels are associated with damage to the body and failure of various organs and tissues . it is primarily used to treat mild to moderate pain, including headache, backache, migraine, rheumatic and muscle pain, toothache and period pain. On the other hand, it also relieves discomfort in colds, influenza, and sore throats and helps reduce temperature.

Contraindications

product is contraindicated in patients with a previous history of hypersensitivity to paracetamol, caffeine or excipients.

Warnings and Precautions


Contains paracetamol. Do not use with any other paracetamol-containing products. The concomitant use with other products containing paracetamol may lead to an overdose.
Contains caffeine. Avoid excessive intake of caffeine containing drinks (eg. tea, coffee etc.) when taking this medicine.
Paracetamol overdose may cause liver failure which can lead to liver transplant or death.








Dosage

 1 - 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as required.
Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
Do not give to children under 12 years.
The lowest dose necessary to achieve efficacy should be used.

Pregnancy

Paracetamol

Studies have not identified any risk of paracetamol in pregnancy or embryo-foetal development.

Caffeine

Paracetamol-caffeine is not recommended for use during pregnancy due to the possible increased risk of spontaneous abortion associated with caffeine consumption.
